After months of being transformed, the new St. Mary's Church is ready for action, but things end in darkness for the whole village, as the Christmas lights fuse and the power is cut. Paddy and Emily welcome another foster child into their home. Debbie is an inquisitive 13-year-old, who keeps pestering Paddy about the original church that burned down – with Zoe in earshot.
