When a person is initiated into the Kids Next Door, they place a single piece of their snot into the C.O.D.E.-M.O.D.U.L.E, which analyzes the DNA and uploads their information to the Super Big Computermabob. The C.O.D.E,-M.O.D.U.L.E. played an important role in a story arc including Operation: T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G. and Operation: G.R.A.D.U.A.T.E.S.. Shortly after Tommy Gilligan joined the KND, Father, who had previously stolen the Code Module, used data from it to create a world-encompassing energy field that turned any KND operative caught in it into an animal. The entire Kids Next Door Organization fell victim to it, except Tommy, who had been told to stay at the Moonbase. Tommy "decommissioned" himself by physically taking his booger out of the C.O.D.E.-M.O.D.U.L.E. and was then unaffected by the Animalization Ray. He went to the Delightful Mansion From Down The Lane, where he put the DNA of Father and The Delightful Children From Down The Lane into the Code Module, turning them into animals, and subsequently turned off the device and saved the KND. Unfortunately, due to a failsafe in the system, Tommy could not rejoin the Kids Next Door. In addition, Father's technical status as a KND operative would again come into play much later in Operation: I.T.. According to Nigel at the end of the episode, Father and the Delightful Children From Down the Lane's genetic material was removed from the Code Module.
