  • Denis Pederson (born September 10, 1975 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) is a retired center who played professionally for sixteen seasons, mainly in the National Hockey League for the New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues, scoring 57 goals and 71 assists, and in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for Eisbären Berlin. Pederson played his junior hockey with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. He was drafted 13th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He turned pro in 1995-96 and split two seasons with the Devils and their AHL farm team, the Albany River Rats. Unlike his junior experience, Pederson became a defensive forward in the pros. He was a regular with the Devils in 1997-98, 1998-99, and part of 1999-00. In 2000, he was traded along with Brendan Morrison from the New Jersey Devils to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Alexander Mogilny. He was subsequently traded to the Phoenix Coyotes and the Nashville Predators. In 2003 Pederson left the NHL to join Eisbären Berlin of the German League. He played for the Polar Bears until his retirement in 2010.
