Außerdem arbeitet er mit B'Elanna Torres an der Schaffung einer Schildblase, die alle Schiffe der Allianz umfassen kann. Nachdem Bosaal einen Polaronmodulator mitbringt, scheint man der Flucht aus der Anomalie näher zu kommen. Nachdem Janeway jedoch erfährt, dass Bosaal den Modulator gestohlen und dafür die Crew der Kinjal-Fregatte massakriert hat, verweist sie ihn des Schiffes. Garon verbleibt jedoch in der Allianz.
