Merritt Brown (April 11, 1924 - April 6, 2001) was a NASCAR driver from Daytona Beach, FL. He competed in two Sprint Cup Series events in his career. Brown's debut came in 1952, when he competed at Darlington. Starting positions in the field of sixty-six are unknown, but Brown only lasted twenty-eight laps before engine failure doomed him to a 63rd place finish. Brown barely improved in his other race, a return to Darlington in 1953. Starting 46th in the field of fifty-nine, Brown again had early mechanical failure. Tranmission issues came to bite Brown this time and leave him 58th.
