| - Howling Cannon fires a slow-moving, powerful projectile that deals lots of damage and knockback but takes a moment to fire.
- The Howling Cannon is a weapon featured in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. The Howling Cannon is very powerful (being at least three times more powerful than a single arrow shot), however it has very low projectile and reload speeds; making it very useful against bosses, but not a good choice for regular combat. It is thought to be placed in the game to counter the removal of the Incendiary Shurikens, Harpoon Gatling Gun, Windmill Shuriken, and ability to charge ranged attacks, that were present in the original Ninja Gaiden II but not in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. It cannot be fired in air.
