The 19th King of Wales and the first king of the modern era, Iorwerth was an odd contradiction. A firm believer in the divine Right of Kings, something that his family had adhered to ever since the Re-Conquest of Wales. At the same time he was a king who inherited a new Parliament with a written constitution. A lover of all things technological but a reactionary conservative in terms of his personal politics. Iorwerth would be a semi tragic figure in Welsh history. Killed in an air crash in the prime of both life and health he left a country unsure of its direction and in the hands of an heir (Iago) who had very determined ideas of where Wales should go.
