Cain Ray was a Jedi Knight, from Alderaan, during the ancient Republic, and the founder of the Shade Order on Thyferra. After growing up within the Jedi Order, one of the many found and integrated into it as an infant, he began to mature into an intelligent, charismatic, yet skeptical young man. As a padawan learner, he began to venture down the path of love, only by a few footsteps, yet enough to make him wary of such things. He has had, in his time, forged many strong, deep friendships, but he approaches most people amicably and it is evident in the fact of how many follow him that he does try to lay the foundations for relationships whenever he can. When he eventually left the order, he led a large number of Jedi away, who helped him create an enclave on the jungle world. Over the following years, under his leadership, these Force- sensitives scouted the galaxy for others who could use the Force, recruiting them to their cause and making the order grow to become one of the largest force sensitive schools in the galaxy. He believed very strongly in preserving secrecy and stealth, and managed to keep his students safe from the evils of the Alsakan Crisis in this way. In the midst of this crisis, he cared first and foremost of the safety of his students, and the safety of the innocents of the galaxy were in his mind almost as much. Although he ventured out with care and wariness, he felt he and his order was prepared for whatever the galaxy, Jedi or Ospion could throw at them. Despite still using stealth, secrecy and concealment, a truce with the Galactic Republic was something he very much wished to pursue.
