The song was played during a party held aboard USS Discovery on Stardate 2136.8, during the Federation-Klingon War. (DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad") It was Alex Kurtzman's idea to have this song playing during the party scene. Discovery showrunners Aaron Harberts and Gretchen J.
