In Japanese folklore, an Oni is a large, monstrous humanoid creature with a wild mane of hair, 2 long horns on its head, sharp claws which sometimes has extra eyes, fingers, or toes beyond the standard number for humans. Its skin color is usually an inhuman color, often blue, black, purple, green, white, or red. They wield kanabo (iron clubs) and wear tiger-skin loincloths. They are analogous to Ogres from European folklore.
