In 1973 a party stopped for a traffic violation accused him of being belligerant and verbally abusive. However the accusation was not sustained as there was no supporting evidence. In 1975, he was presented with the "Outstanding Effort" award for the recovery of eleven stolen vehicles in a twelve month period. He was seen in the LPD booking evidence to John B. Willis. He was called to Cotton Cove to investigate when a jogger found blood and traces near the Clearwater River but as soon as Sonny Bonds and Keith Robinson arrived, he just stayed there and chatter with Keith.
