Fairbourne House was a 12-storey tower block on The Fairway in Rochester. The building was blown up in September 1981. The block, nicknamed Faulty Tower, caused one last headache when a whole section was left intact after the blast. Having been built in 1965 and demolished in 1981, the block lasted for just 16 years.
