- Zapp Brannigan is one of the main antagonists and at the same time an anti-hero from TV Series, Futurama. He is a 25-Star General in the Democratic Order of Planets, captain of his flagship, the Nimbus, and head of the DOOP Army. He is in love with Turanga Leela, but not her, in fact, Zapp is sometimes pervert and petty, but but half of the time, he often joins forces with Planet Express' crew, also offering them his contribution, although very controversial. - Zapp Pow Aloysius O'Henry Brannigan is one of the central commanding forces of the Democratic Order of Planets, a 25 Star General which earned his position from earning victories in near countless Wars/Battles/Skirmishes throughout a large portion of the Universe. While appearing to in general public to be an extremely competent soldier and leader in reality however Zapp upon closer examination he presents himself as a preening, incompetent, masochistic bore whom many other alien species believe him to be a incoherent, babbling mental patient.

He is considered one of the show's main recurring villains along with Richard Nixon, Lrrr & Mom - however unlike the drunk, upright Nixon, the tyrannical, power-hungry Lrrr, and the scheming, malevolent Mom, Zapp Brannigan is a very goofy, very stupid and a very selfish villain: unfortunately he also seems to hold considerable power despite his idiocy and thus can cause trouble for the show's heroes. Most of the time his actions tend to get in the way of the heroes efforts.
