abstract	Star of Dolan's Mammoth Circus, Miraco the Great possesses not only hypnotic powers, but also commands real magic and occult abilities as well as superhuman strength, which he is said to have learned. He lives in a trailer with Eddie, his assistant and sidekick, and their closest friends are Frank Webb and Donalda, the wire walker and the trapeze artist, respectively. When Webb and Donalda were engaged to be married, it tempted the anger of Franzetti, trainer of the "man-killing" gorilla Colossus. After several attempts to win Donalda away from Webb, coupled with overt attempts to outright murder Miraco, the magician presented Franzetti with an ultimatum: either quit the circus, or be beaten to a pulp and turned over to the police. Unsurprisingly, Franzetti agreed to quit and left. Before leaving however, he released the big cats, which Miraco easily pacified.
