Yoda was one of the most renowned and powerful Jedi Masters in galactic history, and one of the few Galactic Republic Jedi to survive into the Galactic Civil War. One the Order's most perceptive master, he served as Jedi Grand Master during the Clone Wars and the founding of the Galactic Empire, after which he went into hiding to escape the Jedi Purge. Though Yoda was one of the most respected members of the Order, he was not flawless. It was partly due to his lack of vision (and some would even say arrogance and sense of self-entitlement) that the Jedi Order was destroyed by the Sith Lord: Darth Sidious, and replaced with the Galactic Empire.

Though Yoda was one of the most respected members of the Order, he was not flawless. It was partly due to his lack of vision (and some would even say arrogance and sense of self-entitlement) that the Jedi Order was destroyed by the Sith Lord: Darth Sidious, and replaced with the Galactic Empire. Still, he would make up for his mistakes by playing a major role in later galactic events. He briefly joined the Clone Rebellion and trained and mentored the Force-sensitive clone: CC-3530 Gohan and later Luke Skywalker during the Galactic Civil War. After his death in 4 ABY, he became one with the Force.
