  • "Jeffery Flanken" was the false identity assumed by a boy who was actually working for Nevel Papperman in the episode, iGive Away a Car. This young man (whose real name remains unknown) claimed to be the son of Seattle car dealer Don Flanken, and that his father's dealership wanted to sponsor a contest on the iCarly show, to give their viewers a chance to win a new car. He gave the iCarly trio an envelope and asked the trio a question. He said to open the envelope on the show to reveal the answer on the show after they asked the question. The question was "A cowboy rides into town on Friday, stays in town for 3 days, then leaves on Friday. How did he do it?"; the answer was "His [the cowboy's] horse's name was Friday." After hosting the contest (which Nevel won), Carly, Sam, and Freddie went to Flanken Motors, only to discover that Don Flanken knew nothing about any such contest. He had no new car to give away, and in fact, did not even have any sons (although he had a daughter he said looked slightly like a boy). In reality, it was all a scheme engineered by Nevel, to trap Carly, Sam, and Freddie into a fraud indictment so he could get revenge on Carly (see iNevel) and have iCarly.com shut down. Nevel did not succeed, however, as Carly gave him a Galaxy Wars vehicle prop (which Spencer had purchased online) instead, thereby technically fulfilling the terms of the contest.
