Wrap bodice has back yoke and pleat detail, belt interest and pleat at skirt back. Stamped with the NRA or National Recovery Act logo, complete with eagle. Du Barry patterns carried this logo from 1933 to 1936 to support the National Recovery Act. Franklin D. Roosevelt was responsible for bringing this Act in on June 16, 1933. It authorised the President to regulate industry and permit cartels and monopolies in an attempt to stimulate economic recovery from the Great Depression following the Wall Street Crash in 1929.
