There's a large purple block in the center of the course in order to assist the transportation of characters between blocks, and there are a random assortment of smaller blocks dotted around the course for display purposes. As time goes on, these statues and small blocks will sink into the ground, leaving bottomless pits behind, and if playing as a Mii, the faces on the blocks will be replaced with the faces of Miis; male Miis on the red and green blocks, and female Miis on the blue and yellow blocks.
