The Keel-billed motmot (Electron carinatum), is a species of motmot in the Momotidae family. It is found in Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and (formerly) Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
