Sengoku Basara(戦国BASARA) is a TV anime adaption of the Capcom video game series of the same name that began airing on April 1, 2009 and was produced by Production I.G. It is directed by Itsuro Kawasaki. The opening theme song, JAP, is performed by Abingdon Boys School and the ending song, Break & Peace, is performed by Dustz. A second season was announced at the conclusion of the season finale episode aired in Japan, followed up by Production I.G's website. It will begin broadcast in summer 2010.[1] At Anime Expo 2009, Funimation Entertainment announced that it acquired the first season. At Anime Expo 2010, Funimation also announced that they will stream the simulcast series, Sengoku Basara Two.
