The Sydney Bruins were a junior team in Sydney, Nova Scotia. They played in the Cape Breton Junior League in the early 1940's. They won the league title in 1941-42 and 1942-43. In 1942-43 they won the 1942-43 Maritimes Junior Playoffs and then lost the semi final in the 1942-43 Eastern Canada Memorial Cup Playoffs. The Bruins competed as an independent (non-league) team in 1943-44. They lost the final of the 1943-44 Maritimes Junior Playoffs to the Antigonish Bulldogs.
