They move quickly and once they begin attacking they are hard to remove as they attempt to eat their prey. Nemacytes, however, are incredibly weak health-wise. A small burst from the Lancer Assault Rifle is enough to kill them.

They move quickly and once they begin attacking they are hard to remove as they attempt to eat their prey. Nemacytes, however, are incredibly weak health-wise. A small burst from the Lancer Assault Rifle is enough to kill them. They seem to live just under the surface of the worm's stomach, emerging from holes that open up in the ground. They also appear to have some acidic-based quality, as Benjamin Carmine seemed to have acid all over him after being mauled by them, but this could be because he was thrown into the worm's digestive tentacles that cover most of its stomach.
