abstract
  • The Republic had kept a permanent occupational force on Korriban since the last Sith revolt in an effort to stop one happening again. However, this force had recently been weakened in order to strengthen Republic forces in the Core, following their defeat at the Battle of Thwaite. Darth Destru, one of the members of the Disciple's governing body, the Triad of Darkness, having heard of the lack of defenses around Korriban, decided that it was the perfect time to attack the Republic. However, his fellow member of the Triad, Darth Baden and Darth Galepius favored a more cautious approach. However, when he finally revealed that his target was Korriban, this temporarily united him with Baden and the plans went ahead, despite Galepius's concerns.
