An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

Dragonscale is a unique Zakarum Shield, a shield from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction exclusive only to the Paladin. With neither the obvious offensive or defensive bonuses of Alma Negra and Herald of Zakarum respectively, Dragonscale instead has a very particular affinity for Fire. With its increased boost to Fire Skills, Dragonscale, along with the Giant Sword, Kinemil's Awl, are obviously intended for Paladins who specialize in the aura Holy Fire, since it is the only Fire Skill that Paladins naturally learn.

  • Dragonscale is a unique Zakarum Shield, a shield from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction exclusive only to the Paladin. Dragonscale also adds a very large Fire damage to attacks. When compounded with the damage of a very strong Holy Fire and another fire-enchanted weapon such as Djinn Slayer, and even the help of a Sorceress' Enchant, a Paladin can dish out enormous amounts of Fire Damage. Finally, it also grants the Paladin the use of the Hydra spell. While fairly useless at doing damage at just level 10 and no Fire Mastery support, it can still find some uses as a scouting tool. Of course, the only problem is that in Hell difficulty, a majority of the enemies are immune to fire. Although this could perhaps be remedied by a Necromancer's Lower Resist curse, this is assuming the Paladin is fighting in a team, which is certainly not always the case. Another remedy for those who fight alone is to use the aura Conviction, which severely lowers an enemy's resistances.
