The villages of Upper and Lower Bayble (Pabail Uarach/Iarach) are located in the centre of Point, and are some of the largest in the area. The local school was a focal point for the education of many of the poets mentioned here. Many poets were born and brought up in Bayble, and Ronnie Black refers to the village as 'the poetry capital of the world'.
