(SCE eBook: Foundations, Book Three) In 2269, Starbase 2 ordered the Enterprise to investigate recent attacks on Outpost Hadrian and Altair VII by an unknown force. The Enterprise later discovered that the alien super-computer Nagha was responsible for the attacks. (TOS short story: "The Sleeping God") The Enterprise returned to the Starbase later that year to deliver Janice Lester for transport to Elba II and take on supplies and crew before departing en route to Beta Aurigae to rendezvous with the USS Potemkin; earlier in the Camus II distress mission, Starbase 2 was a possible destination for the Enterprise to deal with Lester.
