| - Silvio Bento, Ph. D. (born 23 July 2398, d. 2 December 2487) was a Moderate Libertarian Party member of parliament and three-term Alorian president. He was born in Gavonshire Province to immigrants Salvatore and Fiona Benton. Bento was the second of seven children He married Glenda Bennelli on 3 January 2426. They had nine children. Bento earned his BA in physics from Gavonshire University in 2422. He went on to earn his MA in physics from Ivy University in 2425 and PhD from there in 2428. He was professor of physics at Aloria Polytechnic Institute from 2429-2438. Bento was the MLP candidate for parliament in 2438, won and served there from 2438-2348. In 2448, he ran for and was elected to his first-term as president. In 2450, he lost a special election but regained the presidency in 2453. He second-term ran from 2453-2464. He lost another reelection bid in 2464. In 2477, at age 79, however, he won one more presidential term, which lasted until 2480. Feeling himself too old, he retired from politics in 2480. Bento is the second longest serving president in Alorian history behind fellow libertarian Daniel Mansfield. In 2485, he published his presidential memoirs, "A Nation to Keep", which became an automatic best-seller selling over four million copies. Bento died in 2487 in his sleep from natural causes. He was 89.
