Synopsis
| - Wally West has lost his powers thanks to the gene bomb set off by the Dominators as they left Earth after a failed invasion attempt. Tina McGee has been working on a way to give him his powers back. She does some research by interviewing Lois Lane and Joan Garrick, hoping to get some insight into the superspeed powers of Superman and the original Flash, Jay Garrick.
At his mansion, Chunk is welcomed by a mob of his distant relatives. They claim to have heard about his success, and they have all decided to move in with him.
Wally shows Tina how he makes his Flash costumes, and then proceeds to help Jerry McGee and Mason Trollbridge in putting the final preparations on the chamber that will duplicate the accident that gave him speed in the first place.
The experiment appears at first to have been a complete success, as Wally is able to change into his Flash costume at superspeed. Wally prepares to test his newly returned powers by delivering a vial of rare blood to the West Coast. However, as he departs, he causes tremendous sonic booms, and leaves a long pathway of flames in his wake.
