  • Nation Song Contest 38 was the 38th edition of the Nation Song Contest and was hosted by Reym-L-Dneurb, after their first win in the previous contest. Alinta and Pangora fully withdrew from the contest and Tomstria missed their third edition this edition, so UZI, Canedonia and Zaprya made their debut. Despite that Arjastan, Dalisska and Maccha-Brugia also announced that they were not intending to compete in this contest, later on, all three announced that they would participate. A total of 53 countries participated in this edition, and Bokia was the emergent winner thanks to their disco house hit, "Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)", by Freemasons featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor. This was their second win during this competition, with the first one goes back to Nation Song Contest 5 when they scored 181 points. In this edition, they went even better, when they recorded a total of 231 points, winning by a minimum margin of 8 points. Second on the final night came Zaprya, which was making its first appearance in this contest. They received full marks from the WL votes. Third came veteran Belvist. Besides the debutant Zaprya, Canedonia reached to qualify for the final and gaining 101 points in their first ever final, while UZI had less fortunes as they didn't reach to make it to the final. The first six of the final progressed for the next edition.
