In this timeline, Nazi German priorities in regards to the German nuclear program (or "Uranverein"; Uranium Society) change to supporting an effort to produce nuclear power, and later, nuclear weaponry. So, in accordance with this alternate history, a number of physicists working within the nuclear program do not get called to military training, or warfare, and over the course of the war, the program slowly centralizes within the German government, culminating with a bomb test in Poland during the February of 1945, and a bomb drop over Poznań, occupied Poland.

Some viewed it as an escape from Board 8, others viewed it as an excuse to have an AIM Chat Room, and still others (Icon, TenkoStar17, C Bar, ChaosTony, Tombs, ActJef1077, and Wigs among them) viewed it as a challenge. What kind of challenge you ask? Why, to become the largest secret board on GameFAQs. It currently only has a dozen or so topics and hosts the last posts on GameFAQs as such users/alts as The Calmness, Lick My Kitty, and chaoscell.
- After a successful DoE the society climbed to 30 nations and signed an MDP with Orbit black. After 2 weeks of building TS DoWed on UJA. Soon after the attacks on UJA Purple Unity stepped in to assist their treaty partner UJA. Before this a secret treaty was signed with Légalement Coupable which lead them to declare on PU in defense of TS. Peace is reached after 5 days of fighting. Only after 2 days after the PU war OZland Cobras, Kleos and TS DoW Ordo Paradoxia in defense of TPF. After 3 days of fighting all fronts peace out.

It's agenda has been simple: to discover lost magics, hidden relics, and forgotten secrets, wherever the search takes them. The bulk of it's membership has always been adventurous historians, linguists and other experts from the Magisterial colleges, but a few notable Farstriders and civilians with academic leanings have also seen merit in its agenda. In Silvermoon research circles, the Society has been called everything from an adventuring gentlemen's club to academic eccentrics to outright gloryhounding tomb robbers.

The Society's adventurous bent was its downfall: roughly a century ago, its most dedicated members perished in an expedition led by the daredevil magistrix Sephrenia Sunbolt, an expert in troll magics and lore. The remaining members slowly drifted off over the years, until finally the Society faded to memory alone. It's records, however, remained with the Magisterial College, forgotten and gathering dust in the care of Sunbolt's surviving trustees. With Quel'thalas desperate for new sources of magic, what was once an eccentric treasure hunt may turn out to have practical value to the survival of the Sin'dorei. At least, this is why rumor says the warlock Valdreas Thundereye has acquired and reopened the old records and archives of the Society: to pick up the hunt again with the ambitious young magistrix Adona Starfall and ranger-captain Querathiel Skyfire of the Farstriders. The gathering is unlikely to say the least: while Querathiel is reputed to be an honourable soldier, Valdreas is more of a dilettante who openly trafficks with demons, and Adona has at least a few fingers in Horde politics as well as being a good two centuries younger than either of the men.
