The Light Borders were introduced in the mid-1970s. It displayed three sentences by just zooming in or by flipping horizontally; usually the first two disappeared quickly after flipping in, while the third flipped back out; this was changed when Drew Carey took over as host in 2007 and then discontinued for good by the start of the 2009-2010 season. Once all four players got called to Contestant's Row, the light border disappeared by zooming in off screen as the logo zoomed in and zoomed out with the logo at the halfway point of the show.
