In the late autumn, early winter of 3E 121 Empress Kintyra II led her troops to aid Mentin against Potema, who's army was sighted in the area. However upon the arrival of the Imperial Army Potema's location was unknown. During the same night Kintura's force was silently assassinated and Empress herself was captured. This lead to downfall and eventually death of Kintyra II. Uriel Septim III, Potema's son, took the Imperial throne afterwards.
