In 2154, Arik Soong and a group of Augments hijacked the Barzai by transmitting a false distress signal. Using the Barzai, Soong and the Augments were able to gain access to Cold Station 12, where Soong stole the remaining Augment embryos being kept in stasis on the station. (ENT: "Cold Station 12") The Barzai was a new CGI model designed by John Eaves; [1] its bridge was a redress of the Xindi-Reptilian warship.

In 2154, Arik Soong and a group of Augments hijacked the Barzai by transmitting a false distress signal. Using the Barzai, Soong and the Augments were able to gain access to Cold Station 12, where Soong stole the remaining Augment embryos being kept in stasis on the station. (ENT: "Cold Station 12") Later, Soong, on board a stolen Klingon Bird-of-Prey, jettisoned the Barzai, along with the ship's pilot, into the atmosphere of a gas giant, where the ship became trapped between two thermal layers, forcing Enterprise to break off their pursuit of the Bird-of-Prey and mount a rescue. (ENT: "The Augments") The Barzai was a new CGI model designed by John Eaves; [1] its bridge was a redress of the Xindi-Reptilian warship.

(ENT: ) Später schleudert Soong die Barzai mit ihrer Pilotin in die Atmosphäre eines Gasriesen um die Enterprise zu zwingen, die Verfolgung abzubrechen und die Pilotin zu retten. Die Enterprise, die den Bird-of-Prey bereits gestellt und schwer beschädigt hatte, muss die Augments tatsächlich ziehen lassen, kann die Pilotin aber retten. (ENT: ) Die Pilotin der Barzai wurde gespielt von Amy Wieczorek.
