Lars "Lasse" Nils Berghagen is a Swedish singer, songwriter and actor. He released his first single in 1965 and four years later, he released the single Teddybjörnen Fredriksson ("The Teddybear Fredriksson"), which has become a classic. He released his first single in 1965 and four years later, he released the single Teddybjörnen Fredriksson ("The Teddybear Fredriksson"), which has become a classic. He first participated in Melodifestivalen in 1974 where he finished as runner-up to ABBA, who went on to win the Contest in Brighton, England. He returned a year later and won the right to represent his home country on home soil. Accompanied by his backing band The Dolls he finished in eighth place. From 1994 to 2003, he hosted the popular summer TV show Allsång på Skansen ("Singalong at Skansen"), which saw an increase in viewership from 600,000 to 2 million.
