The Diadochian Empire has both a complex bureaucracy and an equally aristocracy. The Diadochian Bureaucracy was inherited from the Iberian Empire. At the apex of the hierarchy stands the emperor, who as the sole ruler (autokrator) is considered to be divinely ordained and the font of authority. Beneath him, are a multitude of officials and court functionaries operating the complex administrative machinery that is necessary to run the empire effectively. In addition to those officials, a large number of honorific titles exist, which the emperor awards to his subjects.
