Captain Simon Harruck of the United States Army had been at FOB Eisenhower in Afghanistan for eight months when a Ghost Recon team arrived to neutralize Zahed. Harruck's mission was in contradiction to that of Scott Mitchell, who had trained with him at Fort Bragg. He hoped to work with Dr. Cassie Anderson to improve the local village. Eventually the search for Zahed ended with the police building and school damaged and Mitchell disgraced. Harruck, though, was loyal to his friend and helped him behind the scenes.
