New Sweden, or Nya Sverige, began as a small Swedish settlement along the Delaware River on the Mid-Atlantic coast of North America. It is centered at Fort Christina, now Kristinasborg. The settlement was founded March 29, 1638. New Sweden lies in eastern Cabotia, limiting north with New England, west with Robertia, and south and east with the Atlantic Ocean.
