The Exactor-class attack frigate was a predecessor to the Acclamators used during the later parts of the Galactic Clone Wars, being constructed as a peacetime combat ship to guard the extensive shipyards in the Rothana system. They were designed to be very quick and maneuverable, with multiple engines, so that they could effectively patrol whole systems quickly and efficiently, with enough firepower to subdue most enemy vessels that may have approached the shipyards. However, the focus on speed and agility left the Exactor with relatively light shielding. The defensive capacity of the Exactor was further reduced by unarmored areas of the hull, exposed to space for various maintenance and cooling reasons.

abstract
  • The Exactor-class attack frigate was a predecessor to the Acclamators used during the later parts of the Galactic Clone Wars, being constructed as a peacetime combat ship to guard the extensive shipyards in the Rothana system. Exactor-class attack frigates were popular defensive warships, and many were produced and sold before the Clone Wars. They became one of the main light warships of the Republic Judicial Fleet when the Clone Wars broke out, until bigger ships more suited to wartime conditions could be produced in significant numbers. The Exactor attack frigate Deep Strike was destroyed in 52 BBY by Mandalorian forces, during an escort mission protecting the Vitiator-class patrol cruiser Reconciliation on the journey to the Rishi Maze headquarters of the InterGalactic Banking Clan.
