Sam Jaimes worked as an animator, director, and on graphic blandishment. He started working with Hanna-Barbera Productions in the 1960s on titles such as The Man Called Flintstone, Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles, and Moby Dick and the Mighty Mightor. He later worked for Bill Meléndez and/or Lee Mendelson on numerous features, mostly Peanuts specials (starting with It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown), as well as Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, No Man's Valley, Happily Ever After, and Frosty Returns. He also worked on Babar Comes to America, Ralph Bakshi's version of The Lord of the Rings, and (as a character designer) Jasper: The Story of a Mule.
