The series underwent two notable cast changes for the second film, Batman: The Killing Joke. In the first film, the Red Hood character was voiced by Mark Hamill, who voiced the Joker in the DC Animated Universe. In the second film, when the Red Hood becomes the Joker, he is portrayed by Crispin Glover. The other alteration was when Hector Elizondo chose not to return as Alfred because of his health and he was replaced by Michael Caine. Many fans and critics have argued over who was the better Alfred.
