Lea Bridge is a closed railway station on the line between Stratford and Tottenham Hale on the Lea Valley Lines. The station was on the north side of Lea Bridge Road (A104) close to its junction with Argall Way and Orient Way, in Leyton in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, north-east London. In December 2005 a new service between Stratford and Stansted Airport reintroduced regular passenger trains passing through the closed station. In October 2013, work had started on the station by the overgrown platforms being cleared in preparation for the new station building

| - From the Wikipedia page [1] Lea Bridge is a railway station on the line between Stratford Station and Tottenham Hale Station. It reopened on the evening of 15 May 2016 [5] with the full service beginning on 16 May 2016, operated by Abellio Greater Anglia. The station is located on the north side of Lea Bridge Road (A104) close to the junction of that road with Argall Way and Orient Way in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, north-east London . The station was opened on 15 September 1840 by the Northern and Eastern Railway. It was closed by British Rail on 8 July 1985. It was unstaffed around 1976 following which the original station buildings were demolished. The simple open-sided shelter present in 1985 on the road bridge over the tracks has also been demolished. In December 2005 a new passenger service between Stratford and Stansted Airport reintroduced direct passenger services between Stratford and Tottenham Hale passing through the closed Lea Bridge station. For many years plans were being considered to rebuild and reopen the station, and the nearby Hall Farm Curve junction, as part of wider plans for the redevelopment of the Stratford and Lower Lea Valley area. In January 2013, it was announced that plans had been approved to rebuild and reopen the station. It is due to reopen in spring 2016. More information on the Wikipedia page [2].
