There was an alternate mini-single released at the same time which dropped two of the B-sides, but I couldn't figure out why anyone would get that version. Why pay 4 bucks for 3 tracks instead of 6 for 5? Anyway, though -- I actually LIKE the A-side though I know a lot of people don't... though I'd agree that it's an odd choice for the one single from Factory Showroom. They Might Be Giants would typically alternate singers on singles (i.e. there'd be a John Flansburgh single, then a John Linnell one) and John Flansburgh was up next, but of his compositions, this is one of the more left-field choices. "Pet Name" is a stronger song, but would also be an oddball choice -- the best choice probably would have been the cub-penned New York City. Anyway, though -- the B-sides are OK. The remix is a little uninspired, though catchy. I love "We've Got A World That Swings". "Unforgotten" had to grow on me, but I finally came around on that one, and I think I finally like the re-recorded version of Sensurround better than the original with the synth solo instead of the Beach Boys-esque "ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba" bridge. Still, though, this is one of those singles that's nice to have but not something to slit your wrists over if you can't find it. (Though, seriously, I STILL see copies around shrinkwrapped and it's been 10 years since this came out. Man, now I feel all hell of old.) - Rev. Syung Myung Me
