The Jaw is a large geographic region of the Ayelands spanning the Jaw Peninsula, the Sanokosh Peninsula, the Beard Isles, and bordered by the Fishsail Kingdoms, and the Orenn Great-Sea to the south, the Dragon Mountains, Naiharia, and the Yellow Sea to the north, and the Ruby Sea to the east. Before 36th it belonged to many countries, and huge swathes of it were unclaimed. Now it all DE FACTO belongs to the Principality of Seatonne. Even before 36th, however, it was practically synonymous with the small sea-side city-state. Adding to the confusion is that the Jaw was finded by the finding of Seatonne, and that ever since the Ruination of the Jaw, practically all of the Jaw's population lived within Seatonne, save for the people of Seltinn, Hakaia, and Heylelk.
