For most of galactic history, wounds in the Force were erroneously believed to have been products, corruptions or otherwise caused by the Dark Side of the Force. For unknown reasons, Void occluses in the realspace galaxy were more intense than most locations of Otherspace, as respects of the concentration of the Void. The Voidborn of both the Charon Dominion and the Void of Animus held such places as sacred during the Extant War, viewing it as fissures made by the Void to establish its presence in the galaxy. Like Force nexuses, Voidborn's powers grew more potent in the presence of a Void occlus, and made possible the creation of Void relics, like the Void Stone, as well as Void-imbued weapons without requiring fragments of the Void Stone.
