Nightwalkers are humans who find themselves fighting evil and monsters in their sleep. During the day, they live ordinary lives. Most recall their hunts in the form of vivid but fragmented nightmares, while some don't remember at all and are completely unaware. To other people, the nightwalkers appear to just be deeply asleep at night. However, their minds project out and form temporary bodies which do the fighting. They do not show any signs of any injuries they suffer, but if their temporary body is killed they will die in their sleep.
