He was born on November 19, 1985 in Valencia, Venezuela. He is 6' 2" tall and weighs 175 lbs., and throws and bats right handed. Danny was an Appalachian League Post-Season All-Star and a Baseball America Rookie All-Star in 2006, however, an elbow injury cut his 2007 short. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow June 1, 2007 and UCL reconstruction on June 22.
