- Leslie Willis, also known as Livewire, was first created in Superman: The Animated Series. She was a shock jock (The Queen of all Media) who took shots at Superman. When his action (while saving her life) ruined her career she became obsessed with him. She was brought into the mainstream comics in 2006, making her first appearance in Action Comics #835.

- "Livewire" is the fourth episode of the first season of Supergirl. It originally was set to air on November 23, 2015 as the fifth episode, but was re-scheduled to air as the fourth on November 16, 2015, due to the Paris terror attacks.
- Leslie Willis was a Metropolis-based shock jock who was given the ability to control electricity due to a freak accident at one of her Metropolis shows. Her radio show was dedicated to bashing upon Superman every night, claiming that the Man of Steel was only saving people in the name of grandstanding and showing off. Willis also showed disdain towards fellow radio broadcaster Billy Batson. However, her career as a shock jock was cut short when the owner of the station decided to turn the station into a country station. Miguel was also quite pleased that she was fired because his wife was saved by Superman.
- Livewire drained all the power in Gotham and murdered a D.W.P. She incurred the wrath of Stephanie, who was on her first night out as the official Batgirl, as a result. Stephanie threw some Batarangs at Livewire, but the villain easily disintegrated them, snapping at Steph that she fought Superman regularly. Stephanie snapped her fingers and sarcastically said, "Oh, you're that Livewire!" Livewire angrily threw several bolts at Steph, but she dodged them and kicked apart a fire hydrant, which released a jetstream that dampened Livewire's powers. This all happened in Batgirl (third series) (4).
- Livewires are enemies found in Banjo-Tooie and Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge. In Banjo-Tooie, Livewires are more of an obstacle as insulated electrical wires with large holes torn in their sides which will periodically discharge arcs of electricity. Banjo can climb these wires or Grip Grab across them, but if proper timing is not used, he may be shocked and knocked off.
