- Mourners are the "plague healers" of East and West Ardougne. They are in part the subject of the Sheep Herder, Plague City, and Biohazard quests, and are located mostly inside West Ardougne and around its walls inside East Ardougne. They are led by the Head mourner. Shortly after introduction, mourners were the subject of a bug, or perhaps oversight, where they were attackable and gave a lot of XP despite having very low hits. This was abused by many notable players to obtain experience abnormally quickly.
- The Mourner was attending a funeral when the bounty hunter Krell was hunting down a wounded Belthazor. After escaping him in the mausoleum, Cole mingled among the mourners and asked her if he could get a ride. Believing that Cole was going to the wake, the woman accepted.
- It can be purchased from bandits near the bridge north of Lindenvale for 525 and you will get additional 52File:Tw3 icon xp.png for that, but there is also option to loot it from their dead corpses.
- The Mourners at Arandar and in the Death Guard HQ in West Ardougne can be killed for the Mourner gear they drop, required for Mourning's End Part I, Part 2, Within the Light and Plague's End. The mourners in West Ardougne have no drops. After the events of Plague's End, they are replaced by Knights of Ardougne and elves, which have exactly the same stats, although they do not have the same drops and do not count for elf tasks.
