| - Galbatorix ist ein Drachenreiter, der die Drachenreiter aus Wut stürzte und nun mit eiserner Hand über Alagaësia herrscht. Er hat die Ra'zac beauftragt, Eragon unschädlich zu machen. Vor der Schlacht um Farthen Dûr gehören die Urgals noch zu seinen Verbündeten, danach nutzt er ausschließlich seine vielen Soldaten. Er selber besitzt auch einen Drachen, Shruikan genannt. Galbatorix' Macht wächst immer weiter, da er durch die Eldunarí eine beinahe nie endende Kraftquelle besitzt. Zusätzlich kennt er ab dem vierten Eragon-Buch auch den wahren Namen der alten Sprache.
- Galbatorix was de koning van Alagaësia. Als vroegere Drakenrijder kwam hij in opstand tegen de orde en bracht hun ondergang met zich mee, in de veronderstelling dat ze verantwoordelijk waren voor de dood van zijn draak. Daarna vormde hij het Rijk.
- Galbatorix was the Rider of Shruikan and crazed king of much of Alagaësia in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Shruikan was not Galbatorix's original dragon; his first died at the hands of some Urgals. When Galbatorix's request to the Council of Elders for a new dragon was denied, he went mad with hate and sorrow for losing his dragon. He killed Shruikan's original rider and bound Shruikan to himself through dark magic.

- Galbatorix fue el Rey de los habitantes humanos de Alagaësia y su reino fue conocido como El Imperio. - On raconte qu'il serait né il y a environ un peu plus de deux mille ans dans une contrée très pauvre. Il paraîtrait même que ses parents vivaient dans une étable et qu'il avait un bœuf et un âne pour parrains, mais ce ne sont là que des ragots.
