If the player follows the text-box prompts upon first loading the Curious household and directs Vidcund to use the telescope, the game is biased to give a 100% certainty that he will be abducted and return pregnant. Vidcund is known to be the shoving Sim when a Sim from another household stargazes with a telescope during the day. This is because Vidcund is the first playable Sim created in Strangetown. If Vidcund stargazes through a telescope, Olive Specter will be the shoving Sim instead, unless Bella Goth is made playable. Vidcund's biography has a very similar layout to Mortimer Goth in Pleasantview. When editing in SimPE, Vidcund's skin tone genetics are not recognized. Because of this, he may sometimes produce a child with medium skin regardless if the other Sim doesn't have genetics of this skin tone. It appears that the installment of some expansion packs fix this strange behavior. The same happens with Hal Capp. Like Jenny, Vidcund bears little resemblance to his parents.
